The historical complex of Villa La Quiete is located on the hill of Castello, in Florence, at the foot of the Monte Morello. Built in the late Middle-Ages, it greatly expanded during the Medici period. Considered among the most significant buildings in the surroundings of Florence, the villa was named after a fresco by Giovanni da San Giovanni called La Quiete che pacifica i venti (1632).
Nowadays the complex partially belongs to the University of Florence. The Villa hosts events, conferences and training courses.
